“Five family members came to Waypoint for Christmas Eve dinner and it was proved to be a pleasant experience all around. Casually elegant, and not too noisy, the restaurant was prepared and handled a busy evening well. Our table ready as reserved. Regular menu options were limited. The “feast of seven fishes” was selected by 2 of the 5 of us and was fabulous! All the fish was delicious, truly plentiful and visually appealing. Everyone was satisfied and happy with their food choices, including balsamic chicken, rack of lamb, and chili. Service was attentive. I had only eaten here during summer months outdoors. My final criteria in selecting Waypoint was their gluten free options, quite accommodating. Overall, a satisfying selection! My husband and I plan to return for dinner this winter.”

“Beautiful fall afternoon on the deck of Waypoint 622 in Brielle today. Look at the view. I had a Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich which is a creation made with smoked ham and grilled chicken, melted swiss with honey mustard sauce on a brioche bun along with house made chips (incredible). I washed it down with a cold, local IPA. Jealous? You should be. Devon, our server was great. She played duet to a packed house and pulled it off flawlessly. Nice job and a nice person. My wife and our friend Barbara had the grilled brie and pear sandwich. Also delicious from the mmmmms and oooohs that I heard. I would have taken a picture of the food but we were all ravenous when we arrived with no self control. Enough said. A great afternoon. Waypoint 622 deck will be opened and serving alcohol until November 15, weather permitting. The bar is heated. The restaurant will be BYOB after that date, until spring. Take advantage of these nice fall days at the Jersey Shore.”

“Wonderful Experience: My Husband’s Surprise Birthday Party! We previously dined at Waypoint 622 and totally enjoyed ourselves. I decided to try them for my husband’s 65th birthday. I invited 28 people for a sit down dinner: N.Y. Sirloin steak, Chicken Breasts Francaise, Salmon Oreganata, & Rigatoni Monica. Each guest raved about their meals & commented that it was an incredible evening. Our party was handled by the most incredible server at the Jersey Shore, named Joanne. She was assisted by another talented woman named Jennifer. Both ladies treated us like part of their family. Our party was the last BYOB Friday evening at Waypoint 622 for the season. The servers marked our glasses & made sure we always had a full glass with the exact wine we chose. They were careful to be sure no one over indulged. My feeling of knowing my guest were safe to drive home was another plus. The chef came to greet us & made sure all guests were satisfied with their meals. My meal was prepared separately due to dietary issues. Not many places help you this way. This was such a fabulous evening for my husband. The preparations in planning were easy- Sarah the party planner made the event a totally smooth transaction. Her suggestions and warm manner in dealing with customers led to a happy occasion for all. If you’re looking for a place to host a party I highly recommend Waypoint 622- you won’t be disappointed!”

“Magical Evening of Celebration! Waypoint 622 did an exceptional job to help us celebrate our son and future daughter in law’s engagement. Larry, the owner, Sarah and Josette went out of their way to be sure the proposal and family dinner to follow was executed perfectly. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with the marina as a backdrop and wonderful service. The food was excellent. Chef took special care to make delicious cuisine including gluten free dishes and they added special touches to our tablescape as well. Overall our memories of the evening are magical in part to the attention and care provided by the staff of Waypoint 622. My husband and I have enjoyed dinner here as well and have been equally pleased with the atmosphere, service and cuisine.”

“I went to this restaurant on Saturday, 10-7-17, with three other people, after the Harvest Festival. The food was absolutely AMAZING, DELICIOUS, INCREDIBLE and AWESOME – the four of us practically licked our plates cleaned – we all had appetizers (firecracker shrimp, tuna tartare, mussels) and full entrees (pork chop (2 ways), salmon and rigatoni) – INCREDIBLE. The owner, Larry, came over to welcome us and make the recommendations of the pork chop entrees to the guys. The waitress was amazing, attentive, professional and awesome. Then we enjoyed drinks at the bar – but they had to close early because of neighbor complaints?!?!? unbelievable – they were so quiet and we were really enjoying the ambiance. THIS PLACE NEVER DISAPPOINTS – will go back there again and again and again.”

“I experienced Waypoint 622 for the first time. The menu is a joy to read with a unique gourmet flair. The food is as pretty as it is delicious from appetizer to entree to dessert. And, it offers a comprehensive wine list. The restaurant is beautiful with great views of the Manasquan River. The staff is awesome! It was definitely an experience that I highly recommend. She made me an iced cappuccino which isn’t on the menu, she went above and beyond to make it and I have to say it was the best iced cappuccino I have had in a long time. “The atmosphere is beautiful, love the whole setting. The bartenders are fantastic and the food is very good. Great place to go with your friends and enjoy a wonderful evening and meet new people. Have eaten at the bar, and an outside table, and inside the restaurant. I’ve never had one complaint about the service or the food. They are very accommodating to your needs and yes, on a busy weekend, it can be a little bit of a wait for a table outside but you can hang at the bar and still enjoy yourself until your table is ready.”

“My family and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I’m gluten free and can’t say enough about their gluten free menu. They even offered me gluten free rice crackers to dip in the delicious oil and garlic “bread” dressing. My 2 children and husband also really enjoyed there meal. “Top 5 Best Meals Ever: There are a lot of restaurants at the New Jersey shore, but few gourmet offerings – until now. I have been fortunate to have dined around the world, and have had some amazing culinary experiences. My dinner at Waypoint 662, has earned a spot in my top 5. It was our first visit, and the decor and location (on the water) are first rate. No short cuts here at all. We had two appetizers, scallops and the ceviche, never had better. By the way, I’m 65 so that’s a lot of meals. Entree was salmon (they fly it in from Alaska, seafood here is never frozen, some coming off the boats docked just feet away) and again, perfection. We rarely have dessert, but didn’t want the evening to end, so we had bread pudding and strawberry shortcake, wait for it… also spectacular. Food excites me, and I am very excited to go back to Waypoint 662. Check out the menu on line. Our waitress, Jen, only added to this great experience.”

“My family and I love to visit Pt. Pleasant and Jenkinson’s on the boardwalk at least once every summer where my grandson enjoys the rides and the games. We decided that we wanted to finish our day with a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant. My daughter googled “good seafood restaurant and Point Pleasant” and Waypoint 622 came up as one of the choices. Since we had already been to most of the eating places in Pt. Pleasant we decided to try this one in Brielle, which was only five minutes away. It was a Saturday night and we called ahead for reservations. When we arrived, we were advised there would be a slight delay due to the unexpected large crowd that evening. The weather was beautiful, with a 9 p.m. temperature outside of close to 80 degrees. It took about 30 minutes to be seated, so we had an opportunity to use the facilities and freshen up before dinner. Once we were seated the staff immediately began to see to our needs with drinks and taking our orders. During our entire stay at the eatery, the place was very full and very busy with guests. There were daily specials an the menu as well as standard everyday meals. The five people in our party ordered steak filet, crab cakes and salmon. All of the food was fresh, appropriately hot, prepared as requested and served in a timely manner. All of us were very satisfied with the tasty and delicious food that we were given. At the end of the meal a gentleman came to our table and inquired as to how were enjoyed the meal. We soon discovered it was the owner of the restaurant and after he learned that this was our first visit he brought out samples of a wonderful tasting cheesecake for the adults and a dish of vanilla ice cream for our grandson. We thought this was a very nice gesture on his behalf and left us with a good feeling about our visit. We are definitely going back again sometime in the very near future to try some of the other items which appeared to be very good choices on the menu. This was one of the nicest/finest eating experiences that we have ever had at the Jersey Shore.”

“We love this place. We are regulars all year. We used to only come in the winter, but we love the food and the service so we are usually there weekly now. “We discovered Waypoint last weekend and it was excellent! My wife and I wanted someplace outside with food and live music and this place fit the bill! The service was excellent and the menu was full and not to expensive! I had the pork Milanese and it was HUGE! I couldn’t finish it but it was excellent. Then we went outside and had a drink and listened to live music! Great night!”

“This is one of the finest places to eat in the area. I can’t say enough about the service (shout out to Josette). The chef Andy will knock himself out to please you!!!! “Food was absolutely excellent! Atmosphere with candlelight and soft music, perfect evening topped off with the ability to bring your own favorite beer or wine. Best crab cakes, pure lump crabmeat. Duck was also unbelievable. Service great also. Best all-around dining experience I have had in a long time – and I eat out a lot! I would highly recommend it to anyone! By the way, this was middle of February 2016 inside dining. I saw some reviews that were not saying what I’m saying, but that must’ve been when they just opened perhaps. I can only tell you from my experience they certainly have it all together now.”

“Pleasantly surprised with this Union Landing bar change in ownership and major upgrade! With new tall columns, they raised the roof figuratively and literally in this bar! The single elevated level makes the view better all around and that isn’t the only upgrade. You no longer have to hunt and poach for a table – a civilized wait list is at the door with a buzzer that alerts when your table is ready, the menu is more elegant with seafood and special wraps and the overall feeling is more welcoming and fun. The crowd is neither too young or too “jersey.” This may be our new go to for summer 2015.”
